Jay Baer

We continue our RSW/US Agency New Business Thought Leader Video Series with Jay Baer. Jay is a hype-free social media and content strategist & speaker, and author of Youtility: Why Smart Marketing is About Help not Hype. He’s also the founder of http://convinceandconvert.com and host of the Social Pros podcast.

We first saw Jay speak at the BOLO digital Conference in 2012 and we’re thrilled to have him as part of our thought leadership series.

In this video, RSW/US owner and President Mark Sneider talks with Jay about the “YouTube of Presentations,” SlideShare, and why agencies specifically should consider it for agency new business.

Jay also talked about why agencies should embrace giving away thought leadership content (information snacks for knowledge meals) and not worry about getting certain ideas stolen (a list of ingredients doesn’t make you a chef-you can’t be afraid to give it away).

And Jay also discusses the importance of content curation in agency new business-original agency content is tough to create consistently-it doesn’t always have to be mind-blowingly original-agencies need to add content curation to their content skill set as well.

Thanks again to Jay for his time.
